What will be the ultimate resolution between James Harden and the Sixers?

How this will all end is the question of all questions for James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers. However, it’s not that hard to make an educated guess on this entire situation. But there are two different things we’re going to discuss here. First, how should this all end?

This is a bit easier. Knowing Harden’s history, the Sixers should absolutely trade him. They don’t want to make this an uglier situation than it already is and they have to know that if Harden is not engaged or motivated, they’re not going to get the best Harden possible. And if they’re not getting a motivated Harden, do they want that?

In a vacuum, it’s probably best to end this situation before the team returns at the start of training camp.

But that’s how it should end. The next question is trying to predict how it will end. That’s the golden question. It’s almost impossible to predict but I think the “ending trade talks” report is more of a negotiating tactic for now. But the closer we get to the start of training camp, the more real it gets for the Sixers. At that point, they’ll have to make a decision.

For now, I still believe they’re going to trade him before the start of training camp. I believe cooler heads will prevail and they’ll eventually give in to Harden’s demand. It’s probably the best path forward at this point.
