NBA Rumors: With everything that is surrounding James Harden, is Joel Embiid already showing discontent with the Philadelphia 76ers?

The Philadelphia 76ers never seem to find themselves out of the limelight. At the moment, the Sixers find themselves at the center of controversy as they have pulled their efforts to trade James Harden. However, the story didn’t go away there. In fact, looking back, that may just end up being the beginning of a long storyline.

In response to the report that the Sixers had ended Harden trade talks, Harden told a group of onlookers during his China Tour that he would never play for an organization that employs Daryl Morey.

As you would expect, it caused quite a ruckus. However, that’s Harden and what he’s done oftentimes over the course of his career. The other big takeaway from all this drama that the Sixers find themselves in is how this could possibly impact Joel Embiid.

And perhaps we’re getting some early answers to that question. Embiid adjusted his social media bio in a way that could suggest he’s already in a place of discontent with the Sixers.

Embiid or “Troel,” who has played the social media game in the past, knows what he’s doing when he adjusts his bio by removing “processing” and “Philadelphia.” The big question is whether this is Embiid trolling, as he often does, or if there is something more here taking place.

What will be Joel Embiid’s next move?

The real narrative to watch in Philadelphia involves Embiid and not so much Harden. At this point, Harden is a lost cause. He’s unlikely to play for the Sixers again and at this point, with everything that has been said, I’m not even sure the Sixers would want Harden to play for the team this season.

Instead, the only thing that matters at this point is what this all means for Embiid. In other words, what is going to be his next move? Whenever he talks to the media about this issue, what is he going to say? The start of training camps is roughly six weeks away, so we’ll have to wait a bit for this to actually happen.

But that’s what we should be talking about next. How is Embiid going to take all this in and how is it going to possibly impact his future with the Sixers? The next few weeks should be increasingly interesting to watch if you’re not a Sixers fan.
