NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring three non-LA Clippers teams that make at least some sense for James Harden.
At the start of the NBA offseason, it was reported that the Philadelphia 76ers and James Harden (after he opted into the final year of his contract) would work together to find a trade that made sense for both sides. Of course, the problem is, Harden wanted to be traded to only one team – the LA Clippers. That completely destroyed any trade market that there would’ve been for Harden and put the Sixers in a bad place from a negotiating standpoint.
After nearly two months without a trade, the Sixers decided to end trade talks involving Harden. As expected, that didn’t sit right with Harden and he threw Daryl Morey and the Sixers under the bus with recent comments on his China Tour.
At an impasse, it seems like there will need to be another domino to drop before there’s any type of resolution between Harden and the Sixers. The question is, could a non-LA team end up being that domino?
Would any other teams entertain the possibility of trading for James Harden?
If both the Sixers and Harden keep their word heading into the start of the season, you can’t help but wonder if there would be any other teams that would be open to the idea of acquiring Harden. If Harden would open up his preferential landing spot list, would there be any other teams interested?
That’s the big question for both Harden and the Sixers heading into the final few weeks of the offseason. While we may not have an answer to that question just yet, we explore three non-LA Clippers teams that would, to at least some degree, would make sense as a suitor for Harden.
