NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring six teams that should be more than willing to take a gamble on acquiring Tyler Herro via trade.

As the Miami Heat continue to wait on the potential of a Damian Lillard trade, they have their hands full in one other manner – they must find a willing third team to take on Tyler Herro in exchange for an asset or two if they want to have any chance to reinforce their trade package to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The good news for the Heat is that there should be a pretty healthy trade market or Herro. Herro is just 23 years old and is coming off back-to-back seasons in which he’s averaged at least 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game. That’s not a small feat for such a young player.

The question is, if he does get traded, where will it be to? In an attempt to predict his potential market, we explore six teams that should be at least somewhat interested in the possibility of acquiring Herro from the Heat.

Brooklyn Nets

Ever since it was reported that Tyler Herro could possibly be shopped to a third team in any potential Damian Lillard trade, there’s been much speculation about Brooklyn Nets as a potential landing spot for the young star. And at this point, they do seem like a likely suitor. They could use another primary scorer next to Mikal Bridges and, say what you want about his defensive issues, he’s always going to put max effort on that end of the floor and is one of the best young offensive talents in the league.

It’s easy to see why Herro would be a fit in Brooklyn. They have the assets to find a path toward a trade and he easily fits the team’s timeline. At this point, if Herro does get traded, there’s a strong chance he ends up in Brooklyn.
