Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz are building something special. They have the right mix of young talent, veteran pieces, and a good amount of draft capital that could be used to further improve the roster. At some point, and perhaps soon, the Jazz is likely going to elect to swap some of their veteran pieces and/or some of their draft capital for another young star to pair next to Lauri Markkanen. In a sense, you can make the argument that Tyler Herro makes sense for Utah.
Herro fits the team’s rebuilding timeline and would help make an immediate impact if Utah wants to be competitive while their other young pieces continue to grow. Herro would help the Jazz successfully do that. At this point, it would be surprising if the Jazz didn’t explore trading Jordan Clarkson and/or Collin Sexton in the next calendar year.
If that does end up happening, a potential acquisition of Herro would make even more sense. Plus, Danny Ainge’s love for Herro has been well-documented.
