Power ranking the five teams with the best chance to win the 2024 NBA Championship.

With the NBA offseason pretty much in the books, there were many teams that bolstered their rosters in free agency, the NBA Draft, or via trade in an attempt to compete against two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

While the Nuggets are clearly at the head of the NBA championship contenders table, the NBA landscape can change significantly within a short span of time due to trades, injuries, and team performance.

That being said, here are the five teams with the best chances of winning the championship in the 2023-24 season.

The 5 teams with the best chance to win the 2024 NBA Championship

5. Los Angeles Lakers

Coming off a tough sweep in the Western Conference Finals against the Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers made a concerted effort to bolster their squad in the free agency. One of the team’s bigger moves of the offseason included signing sharpshooting point guard Gabe Vincent, who is coming off an NBA Finals run with the Miami Heat.

During the summer, the Lakers also added Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince in an attempt to boost their wing depth and added some insurance in the frontcourt with the addition of Jaxson Haynes.

The real test for the Lakers will be the health of their two star players, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Should LeBron and AD steer clear of significant injuries, the Lakers possess the potential to embark on another deep run in the playoffs for the forthcoming season.
