4. Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves

In a vacuum, Karl-Anthony Towns should be considered one of the best players in the NBA. There aren’t many players that can do what he can do at his size. He was one of the original NBA unicorns and remains to be one of the most versatile offensive centers in the league. However, he’s had a rough stretch with the Minnesota Timberwolves as of late. That’s led many to believe that it may be time for a change of scenery for the big man.

Quite frankly, not only may that be in the best interest of KAT but it also could make sense for a Wolves team that has struggled to meet expectations the past few seasons. If Minnesota wanted to retool their roster around Anthony Edwards, trading KAT would likely have to be necessary – especially considering there’s almost no chance they’ll find a taker for Rudy Gobert.

If KAT does get a bit impatient, perhaps he could be the one to force the issue toward a trade. If the Wolves get off to a slow start and it becomes ever clearer that the duo of KAT and Gobert isn’t working, I wouldn’t entirely rule out a trade demand from the former.
