3 Reasons why the Warriors won’t win the championship in the 2023-24 season

Aging players

Stephen Curry turns 36 this season. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green both turn 34. Fair to say, the Golden State Warriors’ core is at the latter stages of their career. In addition, the Warriors traded for the 38-year-old star Chris Paul from the Washington Wizards.

"“I know everybody gonna talk about our age, but it’s just about trying to put the pieces together with a lot of high IQ guys that know how to play basketball,” Curry said about his aging Warriors squad."

Western Conference’s escalating level of competition

The Western Conference has been a more competitive conference for a few years now, with many superstars joining forces with these teams. This escalating level of competition has made it more difficult for any one team to dominate the conference.

The defending champs Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, LA Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies. All pose a huge threat to the Warriors in the Western Conference.

The Warriors have a huge task ahead of them. With some improved changes to the roster, they genuinely can win the Western Conference title and have a shot at the NBA Championship.
