Best moves made by the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason

The Milwaukee Bucks needed to lock up their core and make a couple of more additions to solidify their spot as a championship contender in the Eastern Conference.

Re-signing Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez

Entering the offseason, re-signing Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez were clear priorities for the Bucks. I can’t imagine what would’ve happened had Milwaukee missed on both of these signings. Nevertheless, Milwaukee managed to bring them both back and, at the very least, it extends Giannis’ championship window with the team for the next 1-2 seasons.

If both can remain healthy, they’re going to be a huge reason why the Bucks are able to bounce back from a depressing showing in the playoffs last season.

Signing Malik Beasley

The Bucks taking a gamble on Malik Beasley as a relatively low-risk, high-reward move could end up being one of the better overall decisions of the offseason. Beasley never seemed to fit in Los Angeles after he was traded there last season and is looking for a fresh start to jump-start his career. Maybe the Bucks could be that spot.

I don’t think it’s fair to expect Beasley to be a huge contributor off the bench this season for the Bucks from the jump, but it wouldn’t be that surprising if he eventually grew into that role by the time the playoffs roll around.
