2. Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets are one of the most exciting up-and-coming teams in the NBA, adding someone like Christian Wood could make them a dark horse threat in the Eastern Conference. Christian Wood’s biggest issue is his defense, but with Brooklyn, this wouldn’t be an issue. Brooklyn already has plenty of long switchable defenders up and down the lineup like Claxton, Bridges, and Royce O’Neale, so adding some scoring with Wood in the frontcourt would compliment the team nicely.

At almost 28 years old, Wood doesn’t offset the young timeline by much, and he would still allow the Nets to play their core young pieces. A duo of Claxton and Wood would be a really unique big-man combo.

Brooklyn still has some room before they hit the luxury tax, and even still Joe Tsai hasn’t been afraid to let the money fly in recent years.
