1. Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns

After such a polarizing decision to put Paul George at No. 2 on this rankings, I believe that this move won’t be met with much disagreement. I don’t think anyone would argue in saying that Devin Booker is the best shooting guard in the NBA. The fact that he’s still only 26 years old is pretty scary. Booker is extremely talented and while he hasn’t had his marquee moment yet in the NBA, that’s likely coming.

Booker averaged 28 points, six assists, and five rebounds per game on 49 percent shooting from the field last season. Paying next to Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, there’s a good chance that his numbers will take a hit this season but that shouldn’t take away from just how talented Booker is.

Even on such a star-studded team, there’s an argument to be made that the Phoenix Suns are only going to go as far as Booker can take them. Booker is in his prime, probably hasn’t even hit his ceiling yet, and is easily the best shooting guard in the league.

With the trajectory that he’s on, there’s a chance he could get into the conversation of best players in the league in a few years.
