The best potential offer that the Chicago Bulls can offer the Portland Trail Blazers

The first thing we needed to clear up was deciding which teams would theoretically be interested in Zach LaVine. We decided to use the New York Knicks as somewhat of a placeholder in any potential three-team deal because they’re one of the teams that have expressed interest in him in the past.

Let’s start off with the obvious. In this deal, the Knicks would land LaVine and the Chicago Bulls would get Damian Lillard. The Portland Trail Blazers would get a solid haul and ultimately the two solid young players and four future first-round picks that they’re probably asking for. Specifically, the Blazers would get Quentin Grimes, Patrick Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Miles McBride, Evan Fournier, Dalen Terry, four future first-round picks, and two second-round picks.

Considering where the Blazers find themselves at the moment, I’d have to imagine that’s an offer they’d seriously think about accepting. It’s far from a certainty, but it’s a package that does theoretically check a lot of the boxes that the Blazers would be looking for in a possible return for Lillard.

I suppose the only two questions left to ask are if the Blazers would trade Lillard to a place he doesn’t want to be and whether the Bulls would actually make such an all-in offer for Lillard considering it would be a huge gamble.
