If the Milwaukee Bucks are going to crash the Damian Lillard sweepstakes, they’re likely going to need some help and are going to have to find a team that is willing to give up some tangible assets in exchange for Jrue Holiday. That could be difficult but if the Bucks are able to pull it off, they’d immediately become one of the shorthand favorites to win the 2023 NBA Championship. The duo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo would likely be the best in the Eastern Conference.

If they could also find a way to keep Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, the Bucks would be on par with the top-level of talent and depth that the Phoenix Suns have in the West. Depending on how the deal would look, the Bucks would probably leap ahead of the Boston Celtics in the East’s hierarchy.

This would be a win-win for the Bucks as making the big splash move for Lillard could also be exactly the move that needs to be done to ensure that Giannis signs an extension with the team next season.
