NBA Rumors: Now that Reggie Bullock is a free agent, we explore five contenders that would make ideal suitors for the sharpshooting wing.

Shortly after the start of free agency, the Dalla Mavericks traded Reggie Bullock to the San Antonio Spurs as part of a salary dump move to make room for the signing of Grant Williams. Since the trade was agreed upon, it was widely expected that Bullock was going to find his way to another team, whether that was via trade or buyout.

It’s been reported that the Spurs and Bullock have agreed to a buyout, making way for him to be a free agent just ahead of the start of training camp.

Bullock will likely seek the landing spot that makes the most sense (in terms of fit and winning potential), and there could be plenty of contenders that check all those boxes for him. Let’s explore five that make a ton of sense on paper.

Contenders that make the most sense for Reggie Bullock

Miami Heat

With the departures of both Max Strus and Gabe Vincent, the Miami Heat is going to have a natural need on the perimeter. Especially when it comes to 3-point shooting. During the regular season, the Heat was one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the league. If they want to finish inside the top 6 of the Eastern Conference, they’re going to need not to be the worst 3-point shooting team in the league.

Considering how 3-point dependent the Heat might end up being after whiffing on both Damian Lillard and Bradley Beal, a player like Reggie Bullock, who is a career 38 percent shooting from deep, would be a huge boost.

As much as Bullock would make sense for the Heat, I’m not sure he’d be willing to pass up some other offers by better contenders.
