24. Utah Jazz
Officially one year removed from their decision to hit the reset button (officially doing so by trading Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert), the Utah Jazz now is in a place where they’re ready to build up. They have a strong foundation and while not all of their young players are considered full-blown foundational pieces just yet, there is room for growth. Utah has enough young pieces in place where they can begin to take strides forward.
Personally, I’m intrigued to see what type of start the Jazz has. Last season, they got off to a hot start. I don’t envision that happening this season but it could be something to watch for. If they do get off to a hot start, will it impact the way they maneuver for the rest of the season in terms of the trade deadline?
If the Jazz wanted, they have the means to make a big move. I can’t imagine this is a franchise that’s going to want to “tank” or “rebuild” for long. That’s another storyline to keep an eye on when it comes to the Jazz this season.
