The move for Bojan Bogdanovic

Heading into the offseason, whether it was Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard, it was clear that the Miami Heat needed to add an elite offensive threat that could effectively take some of the pressure off of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo. With the Beal and Lillard plan falling through, perhaps the Heat could turn to a veteran option such as Bojan Bogdanovic. The Detroit Pistons aren’t likely to factor in the Eastern Conference much and he could be a highly sought-after target at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline.

I’d imagine that a first-round pick would be enough for the rebuilding Pistons to let go of the dynamic offensive wing. The Heat could offer up the expiring contract of Kyle Lowry, a future first-round pick, and a second-round pick for Bogdanovic and Monte Morris (who makes sense as a point guard replacement for Miami).

Would that be enough? Who knows, but Bogdanovic is still a really good offensive player at this point in his career and would be a huge jolt to the offensively-challenged Heat.

Bogdanovic fits perfectly in the Heat’s current championship window and would add an element on the offensive end from the wing position that Miami currently doesn’t have beyond Butler.
