LA Clippers

Trade candidate: Marcus Morris Sr.

Marcus Morris Sr. was essentially traded to Washington already this summer but the deal fell through due to misinformation on Malcolm Brogdon’s health at the time. He ultimately finds himself still a Clipper where he saw very limited minutes towards the end of last season as coach Ty Lue lost trust in the forward.

He is on an expiring contract and can be an enticing trade candidate as he provides versatile scoring off the bench. It would be somewhat shocking if Morris wasn’t traded at some point before the deadline.

Los Angeles Lakers

Trade candidate: Cam Reddish

Cam Reddish’s career has not panned out as many had hoped coming out of Duke. Many had expectations of him being a dynamic 3-level scorer but is a very inconsistent version of that model. He has shown flashes of excellence across his career but has not been able to find a consistent flow with a team.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now his fourth team in three years and will be competing with the many other wings the Lakers have to offer for minutes. He may only get real minutes due to an injury in the lineup. The door is always open for trade as somebody can convince themself Reddish can help them.
