According to a recent report, the Sixers’ master plan once Harden is moved is to pivot to target an All-Star-level guard with the assets that they receive in the deal. While that may be easier said than done, it’s clear that the Sixers general manager could have his hands full from now until the NBA Trade Deadline.

And with just one more season on his contract after this season, it wouldn’t be that outlandish for the Bulls to explore trading him if Chicago falls too far behind in the standings.

The Sixers could be an intriguing landing spot for the do-it-all guard. He may not be viewed as a “star” guard, but he’s certainly a player who makes winning plays. He would absolutely bolster the Sixers’ backcourt without Harden on the roster and would take some of the defensive pressure off of Tyrese Maxey.
