Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets

The situation in Charlotte deserves to be kept an eye on. And that goes well beyond the Terry Rozier situation. On paper, it would make sense for the Hornets to at least explore the trade market surrounding Rozier. Even though he still has two years remaining on his contract, with a team option for a third, he could be viewed as somewhat of the odd man out heading into this season.

The team is likely going to pivot even more to a youth movement. With LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller at the center of their new rebuild, it’s only natural to question the fit of the 29-year-old Rozier on the roster. If the Hornets realize that it would be in their best interest to embrace another retooling, Rozier could very well be on the outslid-looking in.

The Sixers could very much benefit from Rozier being on the roster. He’s still a productive offensive player and has experience playing next to another ball-dominant guard. The cost wouldn’t be great and the Sixers could enter the push toward the playoffs with a trio of Rozier, Tyrese Maxey, and Joel Embiid.
