Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers

It’s no secret that there’s a very good chance that this could end up being Buddy Hield’s final season with the Indiana Pacers. After contract extension talks broke down between the two sides, there is some belief that the Pacers will eventually trade Hield at some point before the NBA Trade Deadline. If that does end up being the case, there’s no question that a team like the Philadelphia 76ers could explore that possibility.

Hield would work as a rental for any team that trades for him but could also be a player that could be extended if things work out in his new landing spot. For the Sixers, Hield’s scoring prowess could be something that would be valuable after losing James Harden’s productivity. The big question is whether Hield and Tyrese Maxey would be a good fit together.

On paper, you’d have to assume that Hield would be a solid upgrade for the Sixers after losing Harden. He may not carry the same skill set as Harden but he could fill some much-needed offensive production for Philly.
