James Harden could be the missing piece

If the LA Clippers truly believe that Paul George and Kawhi Leonard can lead the franchise to a championship, James Harden should be viewed as the missing piece for a franchise that hasn’t been close to winning a title in quite some time. Especially considering the cost it would take. The Clippers don’t have to gut their roster and don’t even have to trade one of their star players for Harden. Yet, there is still some hesitance.

For most teams, it’s understandable why trading for Harden may not be worth it. For many teams, the reward may not outweigh the risk. That’s not the case for the Clippers. This is a team where taking a chance on Harden could pay off in a big way.

The Clippers should be all-in on winning a title this season. Harden on the roster gives them a better chance of accomplishing that. The issue with Harden is when he doesn’t want to be somewhere. It’s well-documented that Harden wants to play for the Clippers. Even if it is just for one season, the fact is that Harden gives them a better shot at winning a title.
