The end for LeBron James will be more evident than ever before

What LeBron James has been able to do over the last couple of seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers is pretty crazy. However, at some point, he’s going to begin to slow down. Unless it’s revealed that he is in fact non-human, LeBron is going to eventually fall into the trap that Father Time is. I believe that this is the year where we’re going to see LeBron begin to take a step back in his game. He’s going to be 39 years old by the time the postseason rolls around and he’s not going to be as dominant as he’s been. After all, he is now officially the oldest player in the NBA.

That said, it doesn’t mean he’s going to fall off a cliff and be considered a liability for the Lakers. It’s just that he won’t be the best player on the court anymore. The Lakers can still be successful and maybe even win a championship this season. But LeBron won’t be the sole reason any of those things happen.

If the Lakers are going to be successful this season, it will be because of the supporting cast around LeBron. That means more pressure on the likes of Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves. At this point in his career, LeBron needs it.
