The Boston Celtics’ four-headed monster

After losing to the Miami Heat in Game 7 on their home floor, after nearly coming back from a 3-0 series deficit, the Boston Celtics entered the offseason with a clear goal of improving their roster. After nearly winning the championship two years ago, the Celtics clearly took a bit of a step back this past season. Change was clearly needed and unlike other teams in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics’ front office wasn’t afraid to be aggressive this offseason.

In what ended up being two of the bigger moves this offseason, the Celtics acquired Kristaps Porzingis in a three-team blockbuster deal (in which they had to part ways with Marcus Smart) and Jrue Holiday (after the Damian Lillard trade). Heading into the season, you can make the argument that the Celtics will have the most complete roster in the Eastern Conference.

As over-reactionary as it may seem, it’s not that outlandish to say that the Celtics’ floor this season is an appearance in the conference finals. The question is, will the Celtics’ four-headed monster be good enough to get the job done this time around?
