NBA Trade Rumors: 5 Deadline suitors that could emerge for DeMar DeRozan

Heading into this season, the Oklahoma City Thunder were a team many believed would take the next step in the Western Conference this season. While not many expect the Thunder to be a contender to win the West this year, they are largely believed to be good enough to be in playoff contention. When the NBA Trade Deadline rolls around, it wouldn’t be that surprising if the Thunder go fishing for a final addition to complete their push for the playoffs.

One potential veteran target for the Thunder could be DeMar DeRozan. On an expiring contract, DeRozan could emerge as just the veteran roll-of-the-dice type of move that would make sense for the Thunder. He could come in and help balance out the offense and give the Thunder a much-needed veteran presence heading into the playoffs.

It’s widely known that the Thunder have plenty of assets to make a move at the trade deadline. The question is whether they’d be willing to pull the trigger for a big name such as DeRozan.
