2. Can they weather the storm in the event of a CP3-Draymond clash?

The Golden State Warriors are no stranger to locker room drama, though it’s probably as welcome as Charles Barkley at a Bay Area fan fest. Last season, the team collectively recoiled when a camera caught Draymond Green decking Jordan Poole at a practice session. Before that, the Warriors’ hunt for a three-peat was cast in the shadow of Kevin Durant’s looming departure and on-court altercation with (who else?) Green.

This season, the notoriously emotional Dray isn’t the only sizable ego that Steve Kerr and Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. have to deal with. Their newest acquisition Chris Paul is known to be a relentless, brutally honest alpha male who has rubbed many teammates the wrong way. In the words of former Lob City cohort Matt Barnes, the Point God is “an acquired taste” in terms of leadership on and off the court.

Whether the Warriors admit it or not, things could go sour very quickly with both Green and Paul on the roster. One misguided shove or colorful side comment could be all it takes to light the fuse of these explosive personalities. If this happens, can the Dubs set the sizzling beef aside and focus on the bigger fish to fry? That remains to be seen.
