1. Boston Celtics

As has been chronicled, the Boston Celtics have gotten off to a historically good start. With the way the Celtics are playing at the moment, this team has the look of a squad that could make a run at the Golden State Warriors’ 73-win season. Of course, that’s if everything falls to plan this season. While it’s unfair to have that level of expectation, you can’t say that what the Celtics have done this season isn’t impressive.

In the starting 5, there aren’t any holes in the Celtics’ lineup. The addition of Jrue Holiday late in the offseason truly has made all the difference and filled the biggest hole they had after the Marcus Smart-Kristaps Porzingis swap. The Celtics will ultimately be judged by what they accomplish or don’t accomplish in the postseason but they’re certainly built for championship success.

It’s a good start to the season and it would be unfair to get ahead of ourselves but the Celtics are playing every bit as good as many believed they would when they made their two big trades during the offseason. The Celtics appear to be for real. This may finally be the year they can get over the top.
