27. Memphis Grizzlies

At least in my opinion, one of the biggest surprises of the young season thus far is the underwhelming Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have struggled mightily without Ja Morant in the lineup and the unfortunate part of it all, the team is going to have to make it another few weeks before reinforcements (Morant) return. The big question is whether or not they could figure out some of their issues before the entire season is lost.

The Grizzlies lack depth and that’s clearly showing. Desmond Bane has been great to start the season but aside from Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marcus Smart, there is way too much uncertainty that surrounds the Grizzlies right now. Statistically, the Grizzlies are one of the worst offensive teams in the league and despite having a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, they’re not that much better defensively.

You’d have to imagine that the Grizzlies are eventually going to be able to turn things around, but it’s hard to know for certain if that will happen anytime soon.
