Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans

On paper, the New Orleans Pelicans should be an emerging young team in the Western Conference. However, over the last couple of seasons, this is a team that has struggled in large part due to the injury bug. But that aside, the Pelicans have some big questions to answer about their future. With the biggest of such revolving around Brandon Ingram.

After this season, Ingram will only have one more year left on his contract. It seems as if no one is talking about this upcoming free-agent situation. As the Pelicans continue to be one of the more underwhelming teams in the league, especially accounting for their talent, Ingram’s situation in New Orleans deserves some attention. Even more so if the Pelicans aren’t able to take a step forward this season.

If Ingram’s situation remains unresolved, the Philadelphia 76ers should be more than willing to take a gamble on his talent. He’d be a great addition next to Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid and would give the Sixers a scoring threat on the wing that they haven’t had in a very long time.
