NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring a few veteran big men targets the LA Clippers can pursue to replace Mason Plumlee who is now out with a big injury.

The LA Clippers find themselves in a difficult position. Not only do they have to juggle the integration of James Harden into the lineup, but now they also have to find a way to replace backup center Mason Plumlee. The team’s backup center suffered an MCL injury and is expected to miss at least two months.

There’s at least an outside chance that the Clippers end up exploring the trade market to find depth at the position. And if they do, there will be several options for the Clippers. Let’s explore a few of the better ones.

7 veteran big men targets for the LA Clippers

Daniel Theis, Indiana Pacers

Buried in the Indiana Pacers’ depth chart, it’s no surprise that Daniel Theis has been rumored to be a potential target for the Clippers. He’s a veteran that makes a lot of sense. He has a ton of experience and would be exactly what the Clippers need in terms of a backup behind Ivica Zubac.

Whenever the Clippers do end up making a move, if they explore the trade market it would be surprising if Theis wasn’t in the conversation. Add in the fact that he’s essentially an expiring contract with a team option for next season, it only makes more sense that Theis emerges as a potential target for the Clippers over the next few weeks.
