Mo Bamba, Philadelphia 76ers

It was admittedly surprising when the Philadelphia 76ers elected to sign Mo Bamba during the offseason. Especially considering they already had Joel Embiid and Paul Reed already in the fold at the center position. And as you would expect, the Sixers have not been able to find a consistent role for Bamba so far this season. Through the first two weeks of the season, Bamba has just appeared in four games and is averaging less than three minutes per game.

With Embiid and Reed getting all the minutes at the position, there’s at least an outside chance that Bamba ends up being the move before the end of the season. If that does end up happening, the LA Clippers should be one of the teams that end up making a phone call. And for the sake of the Clippers, the hope is that the Sixers make a decision on Bamba sooner rather than later.

Bamba would be an interesting option as a replacement for Mason Plumlee. He wouldn’t need to be a savior and he’d offer a different element than Ivica Zubac does.
