The Phoenix Suns’ experiment isn’t going to work

The Phoenix Suns made the biggest of waves during the offseason when they decided to add Bradley Beal as the final piece of the big three. With Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker, the Suns should have one of the best offenses in the league. So far this season, the Suns have been average at best on that end of the floor. In fact, the Suns have actually been better on the defensive end of the floor so far this season. Who would’ve guessed?

At 4-5, it’s only natural to question if this trio is going to work. However, considering how all-in the Suns went, it kind of has to.

In the end, I still believe the Suns are going to figure it out. At least for me, the key part for the team heading into the stretch run will revolve around injuries. If the Suns can remain healthy for the majority of the season, I’m fairly certain they will figure it out. But if they enter the playoffs without much experience together, that’s when the questions become real. For now, I think this is simply a slow start that is being piled on due to injury.

Verdict: Sell
