Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to get better, but they have a ton of assets that they could trade in order to become a serious contender. Their targets would obviously lean younger so they could continue to be a part of the team’s core moving forward.

The Thunder have almost too many draft picks, and I think now is the time to start investing to be immediate contenders.

Desmond Bane – Bane would come at a steep price, but not one that the Thunder can’t afford. A three-headed monster of Shai, Giddey, and Bane would give teams absolute fits, especially with Chet continuing to control the paint. The Grizzlies would probably be open to the idea of retooling with a lot of draft picks as well if they continue to freefall without Morant.

Lauri Markkanen – Markkanen has turned himself into a legitimate matchup nightmare. Pairing him with Holmgren would give the Thunder an advantage against almost every team in the size department and would give them another scoring option.

Zach LaVine – Still just 28 years old, Lavine could really give this team another dimension on the offensive end. The Bulls should be sellers at the trade deadline, and the Thunder have to draft capital necessary to grab one of their stars.
