4. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

After an offseason in which they completely revamped their supporting cast to add more star-level talent around Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics have looked as overwhelming as many believed they would be this season. The Celtics very much look like the best team in the Eastern Conference and, depending on who you ask, may have already topped the Denver Nuggets as the overall favorites to win the NBA Championship. The biggest reason why continues to be the greatness of Tatum.

Tatum is averaging 28 points, nine assists, and four rebounds per game on a career-high 50 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. On a star-studded team, Tatum has continued to look like the generational talent that’s going to lead the Celtics to multiple NBA Championships.

If Tatum can avoid injury, the Celtics are going to win a ton of games in the regular season and he’s going to find himself right in the thick of the NBA MVP race this year. Could this finally be the year where he takes home the honors?
