NBA Draft riser: Ja'Kobe Walter, Baylor

Even in a somewhat short NCAA Tournament run for the third-seeded Baylor Bears, it's easy to see how Ja'Kobe Walter can be viewed as an NBA Draft riser. In the two NCAA Tournament games, Walter stepped his game up for the Bears. Walter averaged 20 points and five rebounds on 42 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent shooting from 3-point range - numbers that were all up from his regular season averages.

For a player who has some potential to be a featured offensive player at the next level, Walter proved he could be that as we inch closer and closer to the pre-draft season. As Walter begins to prepare for the next stage in the draft process, it'll be interesting to see where he's mocked over the course of the next few weeks. As a likely lottery pick, you can't help but wonder if his performance in the NCAA Tournament locked up his status as a top 7-8 selection.

He may not be a complete prospect but in a weak draft, as this one is being categorized as, Walter has made a strong case to be taken early in the first round.
