NBA Mock Draft 14.0: Pistons make risky trade; Spurs find their lead guard of the future

10. Utah Jazz - Nikola Topic, G, Serbia

The Utah Jazz will be looking to find a steal at this point in the first round of the NBA Draft and with the way the board has fallen in this mock, perhaps Nikola Topic could emerge as just that for the team. As a player with a playmaking upside, Topic could emerge as an interesting possibility for a Jazz team that is looking for a worthy running mate next to Lauri Markkanen. It would be completely unfair to expect Topic to be ready to contribute at a huge level right away, but he's the type of prospect with long-term promise that could make sense for Utah at No. 10.

Even though the Jazz would greatly benefit from finding a quality prospect with the No. 10 pick, there's at least an outside chance Utah ends up trading this asset before it's used. With whispers that the Jazz want to make a win-now move this summer, this pick could be used in those efforts.

All in all, the Jazz enter the 2024 NBA Draft as a team that is impossible to predict. Whether that ends up being good or bad in the long run remains to be seen.
