6. Charlotte Hornets - Reed Sheppard, G, Kentucky

Even though the lottery balls didn't bounce in the favor of the Charlotte Hornets this season, they could still land a quality player with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. With how the roster is currently constructed, Reed Sheppard could emerge as a fit for the Hornets as they attempt to take another step forward in their build. Sheppard would seemingly be a fit next to LaMelo Ball and would help with his defensive incapabilities. Add in that Sheppard was one of the most efficient offensive players in college basketball last season, and this is a selection that would make even more sense for the Hornets.

One big question mark surrounding Sheppard as he prepares to make the jump to the NBA is whether he has enough high-end potential to be selected in the top 10. However, with two players that may be on the star track already in Ball and Brandon Miller, Charlotte shouldn't be all that turned off as they make this selection.

A core of Sheppard, Ball, and Miller could prove to be a solid foundation for the Hornets heading into the future.
