14. New Orleans Pelicans - Izan Almansa, F, G League Ignite
Struggling once again out of the gate this season, finishing in the lottery isn't entirely out of the question for the New Orleans Pelicans once again. If they do end up with a pick in the top 14, perhaps the Pelicans would be open to taking a flier on Izan Almansa. The 6-foot-10 forward is playing for the G League Ignite and is still somewhat of a raw prospect. If he intends on moving up draft boards, he'll need to polish up his game this season.
Almansa could be viewed as a developmental project that the Pelicans could use behind Zion Williamson, who has continued to struggle with durability. Almansa isn't nearly as talented as Zion but he could emerge as a weapon that the Pelicans could use off the bench or in the event that Zion is resting or recovering.
There are clear holes in Almansa's game but at this point in the draft, that's not all that surprising. If he can develop a consistent 3-point shot over the course of this season, there's a chance that he will cement himself as a lottery selection. If not, there's a chance he ends up being one of the more polarizing prospects.
