23. Denver Nuggets - Ryan Dunn, F, Virginia
The defending NBA Champion Denver Nuggets have the look of a team that could very much repeat this season. However, if they do fall short of that pre-season goal, there's going to be one big reason why. And it will likely revolve around the supporting cast falling short of the impact that they made on the team when they did win it all. Part of that is losing a couple of key contributors and another part of it could be due to a bit of inexperience.
Either way, it could put the Nuggets in a situation where they're looking to restock their depth heading into the 2024 NBA Draft. One way they could look to do that again is by taking a flier on an intriguing wing prospect in Ryan Dunn, a 6-foot-8 forward out of Virginia. Dunn is going to turn heads with his defensive ability but it's his offensive potential that will make him a worthy first-round pick.
Dunn has the potential to be a legit 3-and-D contributor (if he can develop a consistent 3-point shot) at the next level. Through the first few games this season at Virginia, Dunn is averaging 10 points and seven rebounds per game.
