27. Orlando Magic - Terrence Shannon Jr., F, Illinois
The Orlando Magic have had a great start to the season and this could be the first time that they are selecting late in the first round in a long time. But even if the Magic does end up making the playoffs, this is a team that still needs to build out their depth. One prospect that could make some sense for the Magic and where they are in their build is Terrence Shannon Jr., who is a 6-foot-7 wing prospect out of Illinois.
As arguably the most experienced prospect that will be taken in the 2024 NBA Draft, Shannon could be an interesting addition for the young, improving Magic. In his fifth collegiate season, Shannon is averaging an impressive 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game on 49 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Depending on how he continues to hold up on the defensive end, Shannon is the type of player who can contribute to a team in a defined role right away next season in the NBA. Could the Magic be the team that puts him in that right situation?
