4. Memphis Grizzlies - Alex Sarr, F, NBL
It's been a nightmarish start to the season for the Memphis Grizzlies. The hope is that all will be solved once Ja Morant returns but there's no guarantee of that. You'd have to imagine that the Grizzlies are going to rebound to a certain extent and even if they don't return to their championship contender form, I find it highly unlikely that they're going to finish with a top 5 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Then again, I suppose you can never guess how a team's season is going to end. For now, the Grizzlies do have a top 5 pick. And if they somehow enter the NBA Draft with one, they could take a flier on NBL star Alex Sarr. The 7-foot-1 big has the chance to be the NBA's best draft unicorn.
Sarr possesses a very unique skill set that is rare in a 7-footer. Sarr has the potential to be a star on both ends of the floor and has shown enough on the offensive end that if he remains somewhat consistent this season, he should cement himself as a top pick. Maybe he could help create a dynamic trio alongside Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr.
