8. Charlotte Hornets - Ja'Kobe Walter, G, Baylor
The Charlotte Hornets are an interesting team that should probably be better than they currently are. And maybe they do end up blossoming before the end of the season but for now, they're projected to select in the top 10 once again. Looking for a worthy backcourt mate for LaMelo Ball, there's one intriguing prospect that could be worth the selection. Ja'Kobe Walter has the chance to make an impact right away at the next level when you see what he can do on the offensive end of the floor.
When watching him play, you can see why he jumps off the screen and why he's considered an elite prospect in this year's draft class. Walter is averaging 19 points and five rebounds per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 42 percent shooting from 3-point range through the first five games of the season.
If the Hornets continue to compile talent, it's only a matter of time before something begins to fall right for the franchise. Perhaps Walter could play a big part in the Hornets finally turning a corner.
