8. Houston Rockets (via Brooklyn) - Ja'Kobe Walter, G, Baylor
In part due to a previous trade, the Houston Rockets will have the opportunity to enter the 2024 NBA Draft with a top 10 pick because of the Brooklyn Nets. With the legitimate questions that continue to revolve around Jalen Green, who has seemingly taken a step back this season, there's a chance that the Rockets end up taking an offensive-minded guard at the top of this draft. One prospect that comes to mind that could fill a lot of what Houston believed they were getting with Green is Ja'Kobe Walter.
Walter may not be the offensive creator that Green was when he first entered the league but there is hope that he could develop into an all-around difference-maker down the road in his development. At worst, Walter translates into a potential 3-and-D contributor for Houston in the first couple of years of his career.
Again, the Rockets have some big questions they'll have to answer as it pertains to the future of their team with Green. And that could give us a better idea of how they're going to approach their draft strategy this offseason.
