12. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings continue to operate under the radar this season. After doing so to perfection last year in which they finished as a top 3 seed in the Western Conference regular season, the Kings very much have the look of a team that is going to factor into the top of the West standings. Sacramento hasn't even looked all that great this season but they're still in the top 6 of the West. At some point, you'd have to imagine that the Kings are going to get going and make a real move up the standings.
When you talk about the West contenders, the Kings are generally not mentioned. But De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis continue to be one of the best duos in the NBA. If they can get a bit more inconsistency from their supporting cast or even make a splash move at the NBA Trade Deadline, this is a team that could make a deep run in the postseason.
The Kings are certainly a team to monitor in the West. At the very least, they're a playoff contender. And if they play their cards right heading into the playoff push, they could potentially be so much more.
