29. San Antonio Spurs

If it wasn't for the disaster that the Detroit Pistons have been this season, there would be more talk about the struggles of the San Antonio Spurs. Despite the encouraging signs that Victor Wembanyama has shown so far this season, the Spurs as a whole have struggled. It's not that much of a surprise but there was some hope that the Spurs would be a bit better than expected this season after getting off to a 3-2 start to the season.

Fourteen losses later, the Spurs are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings. But, again, none of this is surprising. This is a team that was going to struggle this season. The introduction of Wemby alone was not going to solve all the Spurs' rebuilding issues. He was just going to be an amazing first step.

I'm sure the Spurs are going to get better as the season goes on but these are the growing pains that come with rebuilding a roster. If the Spurs are still in the bottom 3 of the NBA in February and March, I suppose that's the time to begin to ask some questions.
