3. Minnesota Timberwolves
It's no longer a hot start for the Minnesota Timberwolves. I mean, I suppose technically it still is a hot start but what the Wolves are doing has some sustainability to it. What has to be scary about the Wolves is the fact that they're beginning to play with some fire. In other words, this is a team that is beginning to play like one that knows they're good. The Wolves are beginning to show off some swagger and that's going to be interesting to follow over the next couple of months.
The big question for the Wolves is whether they can remain this consistent all year long. The thing is, they have the talent to do so. Minnesota is a talented team. They have the superstar. They have supporting stars. They have the one area of their game that they can consistently lean on. They have the necessary depth.
All they have to do is prove their worth. And through the first 20 games, they've been able to do so. While the verdict may still be out on the Wolves, this is a team that is checking every box that can be checked at this point in the season.
