8. Kyle Lowry, Miami Heat - 4.6 3PA, 46.9 percent
The Miami Heat may be looking for a new starting point guard at some point before the NBA Trade Deadline but what Kyle Lowry is doing from behind the 3-point line is somewhat impressive. With Father time bearing down on him as a 37-year-old, Lowry has still been able to be effective in spurts so far this season. And while he may not be a primary reason for the Heat's 10-5 start to the season, he's certainly played his role perfectly.
Lowry is averaging nine points and five assists per game on a scorching 47 percent shooting from 3-point range. He may not be the player he once was but it's clear that he has gotten off to a hot start from deep. It would be unfair to expect Lowry to continue being this efficient from deep but it may be the only shot of him keep his spot as the team's starting point guard.
If Lowry finishes the season as a 40 percent shooter from deep, that should be good enough to continue making a strong impact for Miami. They don't need him to be special. At this point in his career, they just need Lowry to be effective in one area of the game. So far this season, that's been from behind the arc.
