NBA Trade Rumors: Taking a closer look at one expendable difference-maker on every team that could be moved ahead of the trade deadline.

It may seem so far off in the future but the 2024 NBA Trade Deadline is just a little more than two months away. With the way this season has been trending, the trade deadline could offer the opportunity for a few fringe contenders to take a step forward. It also offers the opportunity for teams to explore parting ways with parts of its roster that they could view as "expendable."

Some of these "expendable" pieces could end up being huge difference-makers down the stretch. In this article, we'll explore one "expendable" piece that every team has that could end up being move ahead of the trade deadline.

Atlanta Hawks

Expendable difference-maker: Saddiq Bey

To a certain extent, Saddiq Bey could be viewed as somewhat of an expendable piece for the Atlanta Hawks. With De'Andre Hunter and Jalen Johnson making waves of late, Bey has become lost in the shuffle a bit. After failing to reach a contract extension, Bey is expected to test restricted free agency next summer, Bey is going to emerge as a natural trade candidate ahead of the deadline.

If the Hawks make any substantial move ahead of the trade deadline, you'd have to imagine that Bey will likely be part of the transaction. Over the last season, he's certainly a player that has become expendable for the Hawks.
