Minnesota Timberwolves
Expendable difference-maker: Kyle Anderson
The Minnesota Timberwolves have raced out of the gate to start the season and have the best record in the NBA through the first quarter of the season. It remains to be seen what type of staying power the Wolves have at the top of the Western Conference standings but this is certainly a team that has improved on several levels this year. If there is one player on the team that can be considered an expendable difference-maker, it's probably Kyle Anderson.
If the Wolves needed to, they could probably get away with a big-man rotation of Karl-Anthony Towns, Naz Reid, and Rudy Gobert. Anderson serves as a backup wing and power forward. However, he could be viewed as an odd man out if the Wolves need to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline.
Anderson has been productive so far this season for Minnesota but hasn't had his most efficient of seasons on the offensive end of the floor. He hasn't been that important to the Wolves this season, even if he has played a sizable role.
