Expendable difference-maker: Payton Pritchard

With how top-heavy the Boston Celtics are, there may not be many rotation pieces that are considered expendable for the team heading into the trade deadline. And for the sake of this exercise, I didn't want to consider any of their starting 5 players as expendable even if they'd be fine with parting ways with one of them in exchange for depth at the NBA Trade Deadline. Nevertheless, I believe Payton Pritchard is the player that fits the criteria the most for the Celtics.

Boston has a loaded backcourt with Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, and Jalen Brown. Pritchard gives the team insurance off the bench but he could be viewed as a bit of an expendable piece if they'd much rather have some added depth in the frontcourt behind Kristaps Porzingis

Pritchard just signed an extension with the Celtics recently and is on a very affordable contract. Averaging six points, three rebounds, and three assists per game this season and offers value as a backup guard. If the Celtics are looking to add depth to their frontcourt or on the wing, Pritchard could be used as a piece on the trade market.
