NBA Trade Rumors: 1 Splash move fringe contenders should make to possibly win a title

The Golden State Warriors are very much a team that needs to make a splash move at the NBA Trade Deadline. They have a championship core in place but clearly need a spark to either wake up this team and raise their ceiling a big. At the trade deadline, it'd be relatively surprising if we didn't see the Warriors make a win-now move. They're a team built to win now that simply has been doing much winning so far this season. That should spark change.

When you look at the Warriors, there's a reason to believe that a small adjustment or addition such as a move for Alex Caruso can do more good than many realize. Caruso is a defensive beast and a player who can be effective on the offensive end off-ball. Those are qualities that the Warriors need to solidify their backcourt.

There is a path toward some fringe contenders to make the jump in tiers. The question is, will any of these teams make the gamble that it will take to put them amongst the likes of the other contenders around the NBA?
